Membership Qualifications

 

Members of our Association are individuals committed to developing their human resource skills so they may increase the value of their contributions in the workplace and to advance the human resource profession.

In addition to increasing their HR skills members may also enhance their professional skills in specific areas by contributing to one or more of the functions that insure the success of the organization or are supported by the Association. These include membership recruiting, editorial supervision for our in-house newsletter, expanding personal resources by contacting potential speakers for our meetings, supporting our diversity, legislative and employment law compliance initiatives.

Consideration for membership in our Association is open to all persons whose work is primarily human resources management, administration, or consulting services, and who further demonstrate a sincere interest in human resources management and in the purpose of our Association. While we recognize the unique perspectives that specialists can share with fellow members, we must also emphasize that active solicitation of our membership is not acceptable. We believe that our goals of promoting informal networking opportunities and providing educational career development seminars are paramount and cannot be undermined in any way.
