Membership Qualifications
 

The MetroWest Human Resource Management Group (MWHRMA) is a volunteer driven organization that focuses on professional development and job enrichment for those working in human resources and management fields. The Association provides monthly educational and informative programs to help the busy professional learn and share ideas with their peers.

Additional opportunities exist to build professional and management skills, acquire reaccreditation hours towards HRCI and SHRM designations, and establishing a strong network of human resource professionals by adding your talents and expertise to the needs of the Association by volunteering.

The Association welcomes anyone whose responsibilities encompass human resource functions; management, administration or consulting services and is willing to support the Association's mission and goals. While the Association is a strong forum to build effective networks of like professionals, we must also emphasize that active solicitation of our membership is not acceptable.

Which type of membership is right for you?

Individual Membership

  • Individuals who are accepted as members are considered Regular (voting) Members of the Association.
  • The current membership dues are $100.00 per year.
  • A 25% discount (to $75.00) is provided to individuals who are members of the Society for Human Resource Management and/or to those individuals whose employer maintains a membership in the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce.
  • A special SHRM Member Annual Package fee of $369.00 will cover annual dues and regular seminar fees.
  • A student who is enrolled in college/university is charged a discounted annual fee of $10 to be affiliated in the student chapter/MWHRMA. 

MEMBER BENEFIT:  SHRM and HR CERTIFICATION INSTITUTE CREDITS

The HR Certification Institute is an internationally recognized certifying organization for the HR profession. More than 115,000 HR professionals worldwide maintain the HR Certification Institute's credentials as a mark of high professional distinction. Each year they must earn continuing education credits in order to retain their credentials.

The Society for Human Resource Management is the world's largest HR association with nearly 325,000 members dedicated to creating better workplaces.  SHRM creates better workplaces where employers and employees thrive together.  It is the foremost expert, convener and thought leader on issues impacting today's evolving workplaces.

Attendees of MWHRMA meetings may receive SHRM and HRCI credits at our monthly seminars. Prior to each seminar, MWHRMA submits the speaker and content information.  Once approved,  credits are available based on the length of the meeting.  Following each meeting, we provide a signed certificate listing the credit information that members submit directly to HRCI and/or SHRM.

Corporate Membership

  • The annual fee for a corporate membership is $399.00.

  • The corporate membership provides for one (1) regular (voting) member, voting membership for any employee who is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and maintenance of a mailing list for other employees you designate to receive materials and notices sent to regular and voting members.

  • In addition, the corporate membership allows any employee of the member company to attend monthly meetings at the member fee. 

MetroWest HRMA Certification Recognition Program

Deeply-discounted student membership is offered to anyone currently attending a two- and four-year institutions offer mentoring, internships and student SIGS for pre-professionals.
