Monthly Meeting Topic: OSHA 101: What All Employers Need to Know
Full Topic Summary Here.
Our monthly breakfast meetings from September through June feature speakers who share valuable information about human resource topics in areas such as motivation, performance management, human resource strategy, compensation, career management, and legal issues such as FLSA, FMLA, sexual harassment, discrimination and other workplace issues. The various subjects presented for discussion help our members deal effectively with the issues they face in maximizing the contributions made by employees in their respective organizations. Our spring legal update seminar provides vital information about State and Federal compliance issues that impact the human resource function. Both members and non-members are invited to attend.
From September through May the meetings begin at 7:45 a.m. with a continental breakfast and networking opportunities. The seminar begins at 8:10 and concludes at either 9:40 or 10:40 depending on the topic.
HR CERTIFICATION INSTITUTE CREDITS
The HR Certification Institute is an internationally recognized certifying organization for the HR profession. More than 115,000 HR professionals worldwide maintain the HR Certification Institute's credentials as a mark of high professional distinction. Each year they must earn continuing education credits in order to retain their credentials.
Attendees of MWHRMA meetings may receive HRCI credits at our monthly seminars. Prior to each seminar, MWHRMA submits the speaker and content information to HRCI. Then HRCI approves the program and authorizes credits based on the length of the meeting. We inform attendees that the seminar is approved for credits. At each meeting, we provide a signed certificate listing the credit information that attendees can take home with them and submit directly to HRCI.
